Wellness Space Design

The power of space

WELLBEING AT WORK

Wellness Space Design is a practice where innovative design intersects with holistic well-being in the workplace. Our surroundings have a profound impact on our health and happiness. This is as true in the workplace as it is in our homes.

Our team is highly skilled at creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also contribute to the wellness of those who inhabit them.

By blending creativity with functionality, we craft professional environments that inspire, rejuvenate, and promote a sense of harmony.

Through biophilic design principles, natural light optimisation, and meticulous attention to detail, we aim to transform spaces into sanctuaries that nurture both the body and the mind whilst promoting productivity and overall employee wellbeing.

The 9-Day Fortnight

In addition to space design, there are several other initiatives workplaces can implement to improve the wellbeing of their employees. One such initiative which we have embraced at SDA is the 9-day fortnight. In September 2023, SDA embarked on a journey to transition from a traditional ten-day working fortnight to nine consecutive days with the aim to optimise efficiency, foster a healthier work-life balance, and promote overall well-being within our practice. With every second Friday off, this initiative provides an extra 22 days of guaranteed leave per year.

The 9-Day Working Fortnight initiative has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the team, showcasing its beneficial impact on work-life balance, well-being, and team dynamics. While challenges and areas for improvement have been identified, the team embraces the new schedule. Continued monitoring, support, and open communication will be essential for the sustained success of this initiative.
