Hogan House

Hogan House is a story of contrast and cohesion – where a humble former shop front in Hamilton has been reimagined into a warm, modern family home. The design preserves the home’s original character while making way for contemporary living, integrating past and present through thoughtful material reuse and layered spatial planning.

Working with an owner-builder client whose craftsmanship is embedded in every corner, the process was a true collaboration. Reclaimed bricks, timber and copper are brought back to life, adding richness and meaning to the home’s new chapter. Curved forms, lightwells and bespoke elements elevate the experience – creating spaces that feel connected, calm and filled with light.

At its heart, Hogan House is a celebration of adaptability – a design that respects heritage, embraces functionality, and reflects the unique creativity of the client. It stands as a beautiful example of how architecture and craft can work hand-in-hand to create something enduring and deeply personal.
